This May, CALAF Grup inaugurated the new offices of its corporate headquarters in Calaf, a comprehensive renovation project executed by CALAF Constructora. The inauguration ceremony was held on May 22nd in an internal event with the participation of the people who drove and made this transformation possible.
The intervention responds to the desire to adapt workspaces to new forms of organization, with greater flexibility, more interaction between teams, and a greater focus on people’s well-being.
Transforming the way of working from within
One of the particularities of the project has been its development from within the organization. A volunteer group made up of people from different areas participated in defining the spaces, gathering needs and proposals from the teams.
This work was subsequently transferred to Darq Arquitectura and the internal construction team, responsible for the development and execution of the renovation.
New spaces for more flexible work
The new office configuration incorporates different types of spaces to respond to current work dynamics:
- Open and adaptable workspaces
- Meeting rooms of various formats
- Quiet zones for concentration tasks
- Spaces for informal interaction and disconnection
- A multipurpose room for training and internal activities
The goal is to facilitate environments that combine concentration, collaboration, and flexibility in the teams’ day-to-day work.
Improvements in comfort, health, and energy efficiency
The renovation also included actions aimed at improving the building’s energy performance and the environmental quality of the interior spaces.
Key improvements include:
- Improved thermal insulation
- Incorporation of more efficient climate control systems
- Improved air renewal and quality
These actions allow for reduced energy consumption while ensuring more stable comfort conditions and a healthier working environment.
A project aligned with the company’s evolution
The renovation of the corporate headquarters is part of CALAF Grup’s internal evolution process, which is committed to more open and collaborative ways of working, in line with its values and its understanding of the sector.
Beyond the physical intervention, the project reflects a way of doing things: involving teams, adapting to changes, and integrating quality, sustainability, and well-being criteria into workspaces.
